Terms and Conditions

MagicType is a type foundry, a sole proprietorship based in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, India, trading through magictype.in.

1. Products. All products offered on this site — free and paid — are digital font files delivered by download. No physical goods are shipped.

2. Free fonts. MagicType offers two kinds of free fonts. Open-source typefaces (SIL Open Font License, via magictype.in, GitHub, or Google Fonts) are free to use, including commercially, per their OFL terms. All other fonts marked “Free” on magictype.in are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only, under the Font License Agreement. Fonts downloaded before this policy’s effective date remain governed by the terms shown at the time of download.

3. Paid fonts. Purchasing a paid font grants a commercial-use license under the Font License Agreement below. You do not acquire ownership of the font file; MagicType retains all copyright.

4. Pricing & payment. Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹). Payments are processed by Razorpay. By completing a purchase you also agree to Razorpay’s own payment terms.

5. Delivery. Font files are delivered automatically by download link and email upon successful payment, or immediately for free downloads. If a paid download does not arrive within 24 hours, contact [email protected].

6. Refunds. See our separate Refund & Returns Policy.

7. Intellectual property. All font designs, specimens, and site content are the intellectual property of MagicType. Unauthorized reproduction, resale, or redistribution is prohibited, except as permitted under an applicable open-source license or the Font License Agreement.

8. Liability. MagicType is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of its fonts. Total liability in any case is limited to the amount paid for the product in question (nil for free downloads).

9. Changes to these terms. MagicType may update these terms at any time; the effective date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Chhattisgarh having jurisdiction.
